Waterproofing
Waterproofing is one of the most critical protection measures against ingress of water/moisture into concrete and steel structures. Depending on the type of substructure – footing, raft, pile etc, depth of the foundation and earth water table level, different kinds of waterproofing systems will be installed – torch applied bitumen membrane, cement based crystalline capillary coating, pvc/epdm based membrane, acrylic cement based coating, rubberized bitumen coating, epoxy coating etc.
For deep foundation, special waterproofing treatment is required for pile heads and pile caps where cement/epoxy based grout and swelling gasket are used and the construction joints treated with pvc waterstop/water swelling gasket or even with re- injectable hose system of acrylic/polyurethane resin.
